Half Term Reading Competition
This half term, our competition is to READ IN AN UNUSUAL PLACE!
In order to enter this term’s competition, please take a photo of your child reading in an unusual place and email it to the school using the admin email address by Friday 6 November.
You could win a £5 book voucher!

The last Lapford Village Market of 2020 will be held on 5th December, 10am-2pm at the Victory Hall.
 We are asking for donations of prizes for a raffle, with all proceeds going to Friends of Lapford School (Donation Box locations to be confirmed).
There will also be a drop box for donations to Lapford Foodbank at the Market.
If you can spare anything at all, every donation is gratefully received.

Lower Town Place is now OPEN to the public. Access is from by the Church Green behind the Victory Hall, by the side entrance to the Hall, or from the Orchard Way car park.

Please note that dogs must be kept on leads at all times and clean up any poo! The nearest (black) bins are by the Melissa Lake shelter and the signpost at Orchard Cross. “Any bin will do”.

Planting of shrubs, bulbs and wildflowers is ongoing around the churchyard boundary and along the west side.

Dymonds Fish and Chips

Dymonds fish and chips van will be in Lapford, Orchard Way Car Park on Fridays 4:30pm to 7:30pm from Friday 23 October 2020

Lapford Railway Station
The local community in Lapford and its surrounding villages in mid-Devon are delighted that Great Western Railway will be stopping more trains at their village station from 6 July 2020

From Monday 7 September 2020, small electrical items, no bigger than the volume of a standard sized plastic carrier bag, can be placed in your green recycling box, along with cardboard, cartons, mobile phones, ink cartridges and toners. If insufficient space please put to the side of your recycling boxes.
